This week we began our Flat Classroom Week in the Life project!
For our project launch, we introduced what the project is all about and aimed get them excited about the possibilities.

First, we watched this slideshow I created to give students a sense of how many people are in the world and to realize how unique they are:
We had a great discussion about how many people there are and some of our similarities and differences. When asked about some of the similarities they have with same-aged students around the world, most initially identified physical characteristics (eye color, hair color, age). With a little more thought, they came up with religion, culture, and feelings.
